Had a case about this at Ubiquiti. They state about this:

(00:00:5e:00:01:cc:01) traverses the switch, it will be correctly learned by
the switch. However, if such a frame does not pass through, the MAC address
won't be populated in the switch's forwarding table.


So I guess, they don't see any fault on their side about this and point to =

bug....
