If you set the environment variable RSH to ssh (ie. export RSH=ssh) then rmt will use ssh rather than rsh. So the following commands would backup your /usr filesystem via ssh to your dumphost. # export RSH=ssh # dump 0auf bakuser@dumphost:/dev/tape /usr -Jake -- Jacob S.
