Hi, I'm trying to get xmcd to work and it's not recognizing that a cd is in the drive. I tried: dd if=/dev/rcd0a of=/dev/null bs=2k count=10 at the command prompt and it responds: dd: /dev/rcd0a: Device not configured The device is 644 so I sould be able to read from it. I can use the CD-ROM for other types of CD (I installed FreeBSD by booting from the FreeBSD CD-ROM in this drive even.) It's a laptop ATAPI cdrom. Any suggestions? -Sean -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Sean J.
