I've tried editing the /etc/ppp/ppp.conf file and adding six zeros to the end of the number and i've tried /usr/sbin/ppp -dedicated , but my modem just flashed a couple of times. Anyone know how I can keep the ppp program from disconnecting after it is idle for a while ?
