I am planning on retiring my SGI server and am thinking for using FreeBSD. My question is: Does FreeBSD support some method of software striping to allow my 8 4-GB disks to appear as a single 32 GB drive? I would prefer to stripe across 2 SCSI controllers, but if only one works, that would be OK. Does FreeBSD support file system size of 32 GB? Any info greatly appreciated.
