[palemoon] > danfe is correct that it should have been repocopied, but then it should > not have been re-added in the first place. It uses an ancient version of > the Firefox codebase (29.0 !) and tried to circumvent the Python 2.7 > deprecation by using Tauthon, which will not be tolerated either. It also provides an alternative to the firefox/chrome browsers, which allows users to stay out of data-hungry, privacy-evading browser ideas. And that is why I added it and that is why I think we should re-surrect that palemoon version. Because it allows us to attract additional user bases who search for those alternatives. The submitter of that particular port provided patches to tauthon to upstram and provided us with that port and was very surprised to see the strange reaction to his contribution. This reinforces the view of the FreeBSD community as a very insular group of folks not willing to accept input from the outside. That in itself is not healthy for our community. -- pi@FreeBSD.org +49 171 3101372 Now what ?
