Stop. Did you update only www/libxul? Partial updates are generally not supported as they break when ports infra (stuff under Mk/*) changes. Mk/bsd.gecko.mk is a notorious example as it offloads some logic from gecko@ ports to build the engine. So, check the file's version manually: # $FreeBSD: head/Mk/bsd.gecko.mk 376999 2015-01-14 08:06:43Z beat $ Otherwise, tell more about your build environment. Things like FreeBSD version, architecture, contents of make.conf, printenv(1) output and consistent revision or snapshot date of the ports tree.
