responding to my own post again. i was able to get pccardd to recognize the ac510, but when it attempts to set up the card ( i assume that is what it's doing :-) ) pccard coredumps. i 'spose that i need to rebuild it with -g and step around innit'. Note that this is an HP800CT running 4.3-RELEASE ( because i cant install 4.4-RELEASE because the install kernel panics when it finds my funny pccard emulating cardbus controller ) does the debuglevel stuff that is mentioned in the 4.4 /etc/defaults/pccard.conf work in the 4.3 version?
