BSDi (the company) came after the original BSD (the tape), long after (10+ 
years), plus they were not the first commerical supplier of BSD.  I remember 
back in 1990 looking for BSD and found a company offering it on the i386, 
expensive though...
(What was SUNOS 3 and 4, SYSV???)
