My local ports tree is checked out of /home/ncvs. When I did a remote commit I used 'cvs -d repoman:/home/ncvs' to commit it, which normally would have produced an error message, but because I'm allowed to log into repoman with my repo-hat on, I bypassed the safety mechanisms. It's a good job that it wasn't Chernobyl!! :) I double checked and it did in fact commit to the right place, with the right file permissions. The only thing that was wrong was the email.
