Gary is right, FreeBSD kernel lacks KMS and GEM. Speaking about other issues, I'm really not intel driver developer, I'm just unhappy user of 945GM which is semi broken with current driver/Mesa 3D/Xorg combination from ports, for example "xrandr -x" will panic system.
