Hi,

You'll find an interesting section in a recent edition of
	/etc/defaults/make.conf

here's a preview:
#
#SUP_UPDATE= yes
#
#SUP= /usr/local/bin/cvsup
#SUPFLAGS= -g -L 2
#SUPHOST= cvsup.uk.FreeBSD.org
#SUPFILE= /usr/share/examples/cvsup/stable-supfile
#PORTSSUPFILE= /usr/share/examples/cvsup/ports-supfile
#DOCSUPFILE= /usr/share/examples/cvsup/doc-supfile

Of course, you'll want to put your local settings in /etc/make.conf
(which works to override the settings in /etc/defaults/make.conf in
the same way that /etc/rc.conf overrides /etc/defaults/rc.conf).

HTH,

--gill
