I even have my desktop in a jail =20 (requires a kernel patch I want to document and offer for review as =20 time permits), and so far I have not seen any problem. Except for my =20 Laptop every private system is not a plain system anymore, every box =20 is now a host for several virtual servers which just offer a special =20 service. Very convenient from a maintenance point of view (it's more =20 time consuming at the beginning, but then it pays of when it's done =20 right). Every instance has perl 5.8 installed. The only report from =20 the perl install is the symlink in /usr which can not be created (read =20 only /usr in the jail), but this is not a hard failure, just a report. =20 And ezjail has a config option to create the symlink in the RO /usr.
