There are several papers
and slides

on
my web page
=E2=80=8B and the youtube,=E2=80=8B
a pretty long manpage,
=E2=80=8B all indicating what happens
to the interface (which does not die) when you switch
to netmap mode.

=E2=80=8B read and familiarize with the
above, but it is the only way to move forward.

We cannot give you
recipes because your expectations
on what netmap
=E2=80=8B =E2=80=8B
does do not match
=E2=80=8Bthe actual behaviour=E2=80=8B
=E2=80=8B.
