For myself I am using make WITH_MYSQL=3Dyes (all install clean).
It is working. I do also put that option to /usr/local/etc/pkgtools.conf
in MAKE_ARGS section like:
'www/firefox' =3D> 'WITH_SMB=3Dyes WITH_OPTIMIZED_CFLAGS=3Dyes',
By this portupgrade will be able to use options used at
first time installation.
