I just tried again, and things seem to work now. I am curious if this indeed was the cause. Is there a way to determine the required size of a bootloader? If this was indeed the cause (I need some sleep, so am not ruling anything out :) ), I guess it is useful to add a warning message to gpart. Regards, Freek
