I'm trying to export email from Outlook98 to my FreeBSD machine. I've been using FreeBSD for a year now and all that's left to move to it is email. Outlook lets you export to Netscape and a few other clients and also to a .csp file (comma separated). How could I format it too the UNIX format? I'm fairly proficient in regex's and perl but I need to know the specifics of how most mail programs in FBSD format raw mail. I've noticed that it different mail messages are delimited by just 2 blank lines then a line that (I assume) is added by the mail program that reads: >From username Thu Dec 3 21:46:34 1998 Then the usual headers follow. The only problem is that Outlook only exports the following fields (which it slightly modifed anyway): "Subject","Body","From: (Name)","From: (Address)","From: (Type)","To: (Name)","To: (Address)","To: (Type)","CC: (Name)","CC: (Address)","CC: (Type)","BCC: (Name)","BCC: (Address)","BCC: (Type)","Billing Information","Categories","Importance","Mileage","Sensitivity" Does anyone know of a FBSD/win95 app that can tranlate email to REAL plain text for use with FBSD? (I have over 5000 messages just since Jan) I'm in the process of downloading eudora and a few other email clients to see what they can do for me in terms of exporting! Thanks!
