Then it's broken. As I said in the PR, the Firefox port now requires Freetype 2.1.9 but it's not listed as a dependency for the port - and thus if you portupgrade on a FreeBSD 4.11 RELEASE system which has had X installed from the distribution package, which contains Freetype 2.1.7, then attempt to build firefox, the compilation will abort with the above error. The only way other than forcing an installation of Freetype 2.1.9 over the existing 2.1.7 library that I can see is to uninstall all Xfree86, then build XFree86 from the ports (which I assume will draw in the current version of Freetype) then build firefox. This isn't something that an ordinary user should need to worry about, it is something that is supposed to be taken care of by the ports system. Even if all you do is have the port manager spit out an error when an attempt to build Firefox is made on a FreeBSD system with the older Freetype library. Ted
