I was also looking for vrrp implementation for FreeBSD. 
Nothing found. Neither VRRP nor HSRP. As for the Linux 
vrrpd code - it wouldn't be so difficult to port it to 
FreeBSD with the exception of SIOCSIFHWADDR - set MAC 
address for NIC. AFAIK this feature is not present
in FreeBSD - but it's not so difficult to implement it.
Some time ago there was a thread on -net (I hope) about
SIOCSIFHWADDR.
