I have confirmed this and it's bably broken. gethostbyname() will fail in a loaded system. I have httpd, squid, ircd, etc running, but things that use gethostbyname(), such as popper and especially squid break and cannot resolve hosts. herror will report "unknown host" on any good host found in nslookup or dig, etc. This is urgent fix. Send me the fix, with your address, and I'll send the $100.00 -- Robert Blayzor robert@superior.net Telecon Communications MIS/Programmer/Admin Network Engineer 131 Enterprise Rd.
