I have 2 disks partioned as follows: Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on /dev/sd0s1a 248047 127859 100345 56% / /dev/sd1s1a 248047 132352 95852 58% /backup /dev/sd1s1e 3606670 1293230 2024907 39% /backup/usr /dev/sd0s1e 3606670 1232703 2085434 37% /usr procfs 4 4 0 100% /proc var is currently in root - obviously not a good idea and there is a lot of unused space in /usr. disk 0 is dumped onto disk 1 each night. What is the best way to redesign my partitions without (a)screwing up the entire system. & (b)long periods of downtime?
