Two things. - There is so much difference between 2.2.xx and 5.xx (or 4.xx) that you should just start over on a new machine or at least a new disk. Keep the old one around for updating your locally created stuff like web pages. Even the Apache you would now install is probably so much different from what you probably have running on FreeBSD 2.2.8 that is would be easier to just start over and carefully create a new configuration. - Unless you have a very compelling reason to need 5.xx probably it is better to go to FreeBSD 4.8 rather than 5.xx for now. Under any circumstance, don't make it 5.0. If you need 5.xx then use 5.1 which is newly out - but really, go to 4.8. ////jerry > > Dan >
