I have been trying to understand some basic SMP stuff( not specific to freebsd). I have a few real basic questions about OS support for SMP.Just to clarify- does the kernel run as various threads on each processor? Is the kernel stack the only non-shared entity among the various threads? I would also like to get a short intro in to interrupt handling ( atleast a good source of info for this , if there are any). I found some material on OS support for SMP , but they seem to be blurred with too many arch specific and OS specific details that I was missing the central idea. -sridhar To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
