I have an idea. May be, the new releases should come with amd enabled and configured to have /media (or /removable) map with entries automaticly generated for each removable media device detected at the install time? Like /media/cdrom([0-9])* /media/floppy([0-9])* The unmount time shoud be short for floppies too, for all those who pop it out before doing 'umount'. Then this sort of questions will not only stop appearing on the mailing list(s), but also in the users' minds (hopefully). -mi To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
