Thanks > Well, updating a 2.2.x machine to 3.x from sources is not unheard of, but I've alwasy seen people on this list say that you must CVSup the 2.2.x machine to 2.2.8-STABLE before you even attempt to begin. See: http://home.san.rr.com/freebsd/make-upgrade.html it is a bit outdated as this was to 2.2.8->3.2, but still gives you a basic idea what what you have have to do. End the end, if you have the means to backup your personal data, an install from a 3.x CD is probably easier (if you can get your hands on one easily).
