Audio CDs do not have filesystems, so you can't read them with DD or
create them with mkisofs. Try
cdda2wav -vall -D<dev,lun> -B -Owav
and then run
cdrecord -v dev=<dev/lun> -dao -useinfo -text *.wav
(this is from the cdrecord manpage)
