If you link mozilla-devel or phoenix with Xft (default), please uninstall lfpfonts* ports. This combination, as far as we know, causes crashes on downloading files, or failure to start up at all. There may be other font ports which have the same effect. The phoenix port will check for known bad fonts; please let us know at phoenix@freebsd if you find a font port that reliably causes crashes on phoenix 0.5_2. -- AlanE (Alan Eldridge), who likes fixing weird distributed systems bugs.
