I am still looking but if anyone can point me in JL> the right direction I would appreciate it. get a copy of MS's boot disk (dos, w9x). boot up and do "fdisk /mbr". that should clear the mbr and have win2k boot up without freebsd's boot easy manager. another easy way of doing this is to download bootpart from http://www.winimage.com/bootpart.htm. read on bootpart.txt.
