I'm sure this is something really simple I'm missing, but after an hour of tinkering and doing Google searches I'm at a loss. I'm running FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE on an Alpha. I just installed an NM9835 2-port PCI serial card. I added 'device puc' to my kernel configuration file, as suggested in 'man puc', but when I run config I get this error: Warning: device "puc" is unknown What am I doing wrong?
