This can only be resolved by configuring slang via two environment variables (as now mentioned in the Makefile). When testing: are the variables COLORTERM and COLORFGBG set in your environment? By the way: we are talking about mail/mutt-devel and I think mail/mutt will be on the CD - although I suggest in moving mutt-devel-1.4 to mail/mutt (as soon as it is released). But what is really bad is that mail/mutt now also has this bad behaviour, so this is really a sort of bug in libslang. I just tested this on 4.6-PRERELEASE. If we want a working mutt on the CD we have to change mail/mutt also, as slang is default when PACKAGE_BUILDING.
