Host: Phoenicia.dougnet.com Domain: dougnet.com Gateway: 10.x.x.x Name Server: IP Address: 10.x.x.x(+1) Netmask: 255.255.255.0 In the FTP URL, I put in ftp://10.x.x.x and the first message I get is Cannot CD to 3.1-RELEASE... When I put in the path to the directories I made under /var/ftp/pub i.e., ftp://10.x.x.x/pub/FreeBSD/3.1-RELEASE, then I get the Couldn't extract the following distributions... message. I think my network connectivity is okay, but how the install client is attempting to navigate the FTP host or some expecation of a directory structure that I can't figure out. -- Doug Poland dpoland@execpc.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
