Attempting to diagnose an undetected NIC:

$ uname -a
FreeBSD FreeSBIE.LiveCD 6.1-RC2 FreeBSD 6.1-RC2 #3:

$ pciconf -lv
...
none2@pci2:0:0:	class=0x020000 card=0x00011179 chip=0x436211ab rev=0x15 hdr=0x00
    vendor = 'Marvell Semiconductor (Was: Galileo Technology Ltd)'
    device = '88E8053 Yukon PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (copper)'
    class    = network
    subclass = ethernet
...

Tried the live disc above and 6.1-RELEASE.

A friend suggested this list with this info:
    You could try asking on -net. There _is_ active code to support
the 88E8053 but the bit to probe it is disabled.
(#ifdef not_yet)

Computer is a Toshiba TECRA PTM40A-0NU009
