See http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/180243 where I attached a port for Eclipse 4.3 (Kepler) in November last year. It works for me, and from some messages I've seen here and the freebsd-java mailing list it appears that others are using it as well. I would gladly become part of "freebsd-eclipse@" or even just take maintainership to get this closer to being commited to the ports tree.
