snort 1.8.1 seems unstable on freebsd-43 stable. It will core dump within 30 mins of running system ran previous versions of snort with no problems. (ofund lots of code red, default.ida, ran for days with no problems) standard configuration freebsd make.conf with I686_CPU pentium 800MHX, 128MB ram, realtek network card, not all that much traffic.
