The network appears to work a while longer but not very long and I can't log in remotely. Oddly enough although the machine no longer responds the game continues, I just can't control it, and all other services seem to stop. I have even attempted a scheduled shutdown on the console before starting the game, so that if it crashes the comptuer will restart in one or two minutes, but that failes as well when the system crashes. Please note That I'm using the NVIDIA driver, and other OpenGL applications ie. screensavers work correctly mutliple times. The message file does not show anything unusual before the crash. I don't know if the problem lies with the NVIDIA driver or with FlightGear. FlightGear is the only program where I see the problem, but FlightGear has the most demanding graphics of all my applications.
