XFree86 4.2 provides a graphical configuration tool called 'xf86cfg', donated in part by one of the Linux distributions. It is similar in concept to XF86Setup, but faster, and less intuitive for new users. xf86cfg uses "XFree86 -configure" to detect the hardware before entering graphical mode, then allows you to edit the configuration file that is generated. So the three methods for configuring X4.2 are now : 1. xf86cfg (GUI) 2. xf86config (terminal) 3. XFree86 -configure (no user input) David's recent change to sysinstall give you the first two options from the "configure X" menu. - Murray To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
