Hello, Ive searched the mailing list archives and scanned the BSD
handbook, and have tried all the suggestions, and Im still having trouble,
so please help me out if you can.

I have an AMD K6-2 400mhz

I have been trying to enable sound on my system, so I was building a
custom kernel (also to get rid of all the devices im not using) and I
I have entered:

machine "i386"
#cpu "I386_CPU"
#cpu "I486_CPU"
#cpu "I586_CPU"
cpu "I686_CPU"

when I rebooted, I got this error:

--
	CPU: AMD-K6(tm) 3D processor (unknown-class CPU)
		..... .... ...
		.... ..... ...
	panic: CPU class not configured!
--

So after reading the posts in the mailing list archives that matched my
problem, I noticed that some of the suggestions were that the AMB K6-2
might be an I586_CPU as far as BSD was concered (but it really isnt) so I
tried uncommenting the I586_CPU and commenting out the I686_CPU
refference. I got the same panic.

Can someone help me get my CPU specified, so I can see if my attempt at
getting the AWE 64 working was even succesfull?

Please send responses to my email address since I am not subscribed to the
list.

Thanks in advance for any help
