Also, /etc/defaults/pccard.conf hadn't been updated, so the 0x80000 flag was missing causing the card to be detected with type NE2000 instead of Linksys. Giles is running with the ed miibus patch, but I got the impression from an earlier message that this was possibly not one of the cards that needs it.
