I tried to install FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE and recognise that: 1. wi-fi is wi0, works fine 2. LAN is intel express100, fxp0, works fine 3. 2 usb slots and memory stick are umass'es, works fine 4. firewire recognises, but not tested by me 5. sound is intel icx, seems to work (device pcm) 6. ACPI is BROKEN. There is no APM on this laptop and acpi seems to fails during boot process. 7. does freebsd have smth like linux's /dev/sonypi and spicctrl to control LCD lightness, use functional keys, etc? If you have freebsd working fully fine with this laptop, please drop me a line here :-) Now i turn it to linux because of ACPI and sonypi but still want to use my favorite FreeBSD OS with this laptop. 10x4all
