Hi, I've just discovered that my ESS688 works with 4.0-STABLE :-). I have the following lines in my kernel config: device pcm device sbc0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 9 drq 1 flags 0x15 I've built the audio/play and audio/playmidi ports, play works but the last few seconds of any .wav file get cut off. Also, playmidi does not work, it says "device not configured" when it tries to write to /dev/midi0. I've ran MAKEDEV snd0 and MAKEDEV pcaudio, but I still get this message. What have I missed? TIA, Alexander. To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
