Hi Sean, On Fri, 13 Mar 1998, Sean J. Schluntz wrote: > Hi, I'm trying to get xmcd to work and it's not recognizing that a cd is > in the drive. Have you tried running the configuration script in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xmcd/config? > It's a laptop ATAPI cdrom. I have an ATAPI cdrom in my Digital PWS200i and I'm using /dev/rwcd0c. The configuration script will prompt you for choices if you know exactly what kind of CD-ROM you have and set up the configure for it. Or you could just edit common.cfg in the same directory as above and change the device line there to read: device: /dev/rwcd0c Or whatever the correct device is for your CD-ROM. Good luck!
