My system has a 1.4GB and an 8GB HD. My intended use is mostly just learning FreeBSD but also some light development. Several friends will be accessing the box remotely as well. The auto option on the installer suggests: disk 1 / - 50 MB swap - 260 MB /var - 20 MB (this CAN'T be big enough!) /usr - balance, about 1200 MB disk 2 no automatic suggestion. I'm thinking of a 2GB /home on drive 2, a large /var somewhere (or do I want a small var and links for space?), but I really don't have enough UNIX experience to have a good feel for what works. All help is appreciated! Thanks! Tad ===== It's tough being libertarian. Liberals think you're a conservative, conservatives think you're a liberal. This isn't my real email address.
