During one of the install phases, a shell script called 'conf/histsetup' is called which contains the following snippet: -----cut----- lock -o LOCK $$ || { echo '*** cannot get the lock file' >&2 ; exit 1 ; } status=1 trap 'unlock LOCK ; trap 0 ; exit $status' 0 1 2 15 -----cut----- On FreeBSD, lock(1) locks the keyboard (and causes the install to fail since there is no '-o' option). Looks like this is trying to do a file locking check of some kind. Anybody know what the equivilent command in FreeBSD is?
