A few more minor problems with this port. Inn now running nicely. I don't think I've got the skills / time to fix the port itself. The Perl include and library paths are also wrong in scripts/configure. The CORE directory is now /usr/local/lib/perl5/i386-freebsd/5.00404/CORE, (i.e, change 5.004 to 5.00404). [This whole business of the locations of other ports include files and libraries changing looks as if it is going to be an on-going problem. There will be complaints whichever way core decide to go.] The /usr/local/etc/rc.d/innd.sh (built and installed) generates shell errors, and uses an invalid ctlinnd option (stop). A quick fix is to change the penultimate line to: /usr/local/news/bin/ctlinnd shutdown machine is going down The shellvar files contain the wrong path name for innmail (/usr/local/bin/innmail should be /usr/local/news/bin/innmail).
