>Description:
I installed xfig from the ports. When I run it on a remote
XFree86 server it produces error messages of ``unaligned
access'', after several thousand such error messages it
	dumps core.

I tried with several different XFree86 servers running on
several linux machines, all have the same problem.

When running on an old Tektronix Xserver I do not get the
error messages and xfig runs without coredump.

Main difference is, that the Tektronix is running in 8 bit
Pseudo Color and all Linux machines used 24bit True Color.

If I undo the XPM related patches provided with the port
	the problem goes away.

>How-To-Repeat:
	Happens every time.

>Fix:
Do not define USEXPM or USEXPM_ICON.
See third change set of ``xfig/files/patch-aa''.
