Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-ports@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk Hi all! There are currently several MATSTER_SITE_* variable defined in the bsd.port.mk. The idea (hence the change proposal) is to add new global (that is - defined (of course if the user wants so) in /etc/make.conf) variables: LOCAL_SITE_GNU LOCAL_SITE_CPAN LOCAL_SITE_CTAN LOCAL_SITE_XCONTRIB The reasoning - from time to time it just happens that there is a mirror of some of the above close to you (like the University mirrors it in it's ftp server, or some big server is close to you) and it would be nice if it tried it out first. Any comments? Sander PS. Overiding the variables in make.conf is not very pretty as you may have to add your local site + copy the list (the local copy is out of date, etc.)
