https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=198067 Bug ID: 198067 Summary: net-mgmt/xymon-client: rc script kills unrelated processes Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: feld@FreeBSD.org Reporter: sasaki@fcc.ad.jp Flags: maintainer-feedback?(feld@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: feld@FreeBSD.org Created attachment 153571 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=153571&action=edit patch for xymon-client.in After r379535 change, rc script stops all processes running as ${xymon_client_user}. This causes serious problem. If I set xymon_client_user to particular user, such as root, 'service xymon-client stop' kills all processes running as root. The attached patch removes 'stop_postcmd' line. I think 'pkill -g' is better than 'pkill -U', but I have no idea what is the best way. --- Comment #1 from Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org> --- Auto-assigned to maintainer feld@FreeBSD.org -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
