See the handbook section on "staying current with FreeBSD." It'll talk
about a program called CVSup. Use this program to update your source
tree (if you're now running 3.4-STABLE) and your ports tree. There is an
example "supfile" in /usr/share/examples/cvsup which will just sync
the ports tree.
