The server can run ppp auto to my ISP to get an dynamic IP address. Then, in my LAN, I config some hosts with 192.168.1.* netmask 255.255.255.0. Ping the server works okay. But when I telnet to the server, I must wait for a very long time to make the connection. When connected, everything works okay. When the server has connected with the ISP, the telnet connection between the client host and the server will make smoothly. Why? PS. I have config the server with the tcp_extension=NO --xiyuan To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-isp" in the body of the message
