For DocBook 3.1 documents use ,=20 which can contain an , where you can add all sorts of=20 authorship information. For DocBook 4.1 documents use , , and similar, depending on the containing element. The problem with this is that, by default, the stylesheets won't show the content of and the like. They need to be to be slightly rewritten to support this. Are you, or anyone else from WRS working on this, going to be at Usenix. I'm there all next week, and it might be worth spending a morning or afternoon sat down working through issues like this (which, I'm guessing, have come up again in re printing the handbook).
